The GoldenPass route around Montreux is one of Europe’s most scenic railway journeys, setting a high standard for the GoldenPass Express as the line’s new flagship train. While the overall vehicle design had already been defined at the start of the project, a number of key details still required further development. Our work focused in particular on refining the front-end design, developing the exterior livery, and designing the interior.For the passenger cabin, we also developed new lighting concepts aimed at reducing unwanted reflections in the large panoramic windows and improving the overall travel experience.
The entire development process was supported by sketching, Class-A modelling, visualisation, VR presentations, and comprehensive design documentation.

Exterior Design Detailing
Refinement of the front-end design based on concepts by Pininfarina S.p.A., combined with the development of a new exterior colour scheme that draws on the existing MOB fleet while giving the modern train the elegance and character of a classic luxury train.
Interior Concept
The interior was designed around a balanced visual language, high-quality materials and a restrained, contemporary colour palette. Together, these elements create a calm and refined atmosphere, turning the journey between Lake Geneva and the Bernese Oberland into a distinctive travel experience.
